POP FOR THE PEOPLE | Stylization Deep Dive: Articulation
Back by popular demand! In this POP FOR THE PEOPLE deep dive workshop, Renée will teach singers how to stylize pop songs with elements that we all know and use everyday: vowels and consonants!
We will listen to examples of how articulation impacts the stylistic results of a vocal performance, and then Renée will demonstrate how singers can apply these stylistic choices to their own songs.
Singers will get 15-20 of 1:1 coaching with Renée during the demonstration portion of this class. Don’t want to sing? Sign up as an observer!

POP FOR THE PEOPLE: Pop Stylization Workshop with Renée Maranan
Learn from a vocal instructor with over 30 years of experience in pop music. In this workshop, participants will learn a simple and strategic process for listening, learning, and applying pop stylization to song covers, whether it’s for imitation or cultivating your own sound.
The class will cover vocal function, musicianship, stylization tools, and all the other elements that make a pop performance stand out.
Class size is limited to provide more opportunities for interaction.
Limited spots available for singers to work with Renée during class. Singers will get 15-20 minutes of individual coaching during class demonstrations, including an opportunity to work on a song of their choice.

IVA Fall Testing Preparation Event
The Institute for Vocal Advancement is holding its annual Fall Testing Preparation events in September, and Renee is teaching a class on “Dealing with Testing Nerves.” The event is open to IVA teachers only.

GRACE UNDER PRESSURE is an interactive 90-minute workshop on performance anxiety and mental resilience for performing artists. Mix Foundations Masterclass: Renee Maranan x Present > Perfect Performance Studios
Ever feel limited by that "break" in your voice? Learning to sing in a mixed voice helps to bridge those gaps in the range, allowing for a more connected sound while maintaining versatility and protecting the vocal instrument. In this workshop we will explore the mixed voice — what it is, how to develop it, and how to use it. This will be an interactive workshop, and there will be opportunities for a few singers to work one-on-one with Renee.
